Our Mission
Mission:
To help support and strengthen the quality of family and community life.
Description:
Family Service Agency has been helping low income people in Sonoma County since 1969. We are the oldest non-profit mental health clinic in the County, providing low-cost, sliding scale and free counseling to individuals, families, children and seniors. Our services include helping children who have witnessed domestic violence; teaching domestic violence offenders life-skills to promote peace and harmony within the family; general counseling programs for individuals, families and groups; bi-lingual counseling for the Latino community; training for interns and practicum students, as well as our very special Senior Programs.
Our Core Values:
Integrity
Honesty
Respect
Compassion/empathy
Accountability
Fostering growth on all levels
Open communication.
We also maintain one of the most respected training programs in Northern California for mental health students and interns. For the past 20 years, FSA has offered trainees, interns and practicum students the opportunity to gain clinical experience at our organization, as well as individual and group supervision and training classes. Our interns are essential to the services we provide to the community and, in return we are able to offer low fees to our clients.
